Gily and Nadav met while studying at Bezalel, a leading art school, in the Department of Ceramic and Glass Design. Gily was attracted to the world of design and sculpture while Nadav studied pottery.
After graduating, they got married, moved to northern Israel, and opened a joint brand, the Davka studio. Nadav specializes in creating decorative and functional pieces. Building products by hand on the potter’s wheel, Nadav uses his over a decade of experience to make one of a kind ceramics. Gily is the digital media manager of the studio and creates jewelry and textile accessories selling the pieces worldwide, and working with stores from across the world.
Bringing their expertise together creates products that enforce the brand style, which is minimalistic, but one of a kind. With the use of the handmade tools by Nadav, each ceramic is guaranteed to be different and stand out.
