Shani Lax founded the “Lax” brand in 2013 with the goal of reviving the shoe industry in Israel. Mentored by well-known shoe artist Kobi Levi, Shani learned from the best on creating a premium shoe.
Shani draws inspiration from the historical landscape of Israel, making shoes that reflect the diversity of the culture. Lax also had appearances in fashion shows in New York, London, and Paris. Despite the brand’s international presence, the production for Lax shoes is local to Tel Aviv. The shoes are made by hand in small quantities. Despite the quick growth of the brand, Shani wants to maintain the attention to detail she had when she started Lax.
The shoes are just as unique and pleasing to look at as they are of high quality. The use of special materials and a different artistic vision catch the eyes of customers while maintaining familiar simplicity.
