The Sheananda Story
Sheananda first started as a white label marketing business for larger companies. Although the business was successful, Noam had the dream of scaling the brand independently.
“My family founded Sheananda, but I decided to take all of our products and repurpose them into our own business.”
The name “Sheananda” has two meaning coming from two different words: Shea and Ananda. Shea represents Shea butter, a key ingredient in many of the Sheananda products including body butter, peeling, soaps, and many more. The word Ananda is in Sanskrit, meaning highest joy or the highest spiritual point one can strive to reach in Buddhism.
“We wanted to combine physicality and spirituality, and so we chose this name to represent it.”
As a brand with a focus on benefitting both the physicality and spirituality, Sheananda makes sure that all the ingredients used in the products are organic, natural, and stress relieving.
Unaffected Ingredients: Sheananda’s Holistic Approach
There are three main ingredients used in a vast majority of the Sheananda catalogue: olive oil, shea butter, and salt from the Dead Sea. The olive oil is sourced locally from the Sea of Galilee, a location well known for having the best land for growing organic olives. The salt comes directly from the Dead Sea, which is also located in Israel. The shea butter is sourced from Africa, ensuring that the ingredient comes from the most prolific environment.
By using genuine ingredients directly from where they naturally come from, Sheananda elevates the self care experience. Each product is created locally in a family owned factory, paying close attention to every detail of the production process.
The Process of Making a Sheananda Product
“We've been doing it for so long that this was just how things were for us.”
The family behind Sheananda are lifetime experts at what they do. With many years of trial and error, the brand has now perfected the production process.
Creating a new product begins with a need. A need rises depending on what’s popular, what season it is etc. To meet this need, the Sheananda team brainstorms the potential product. Once a consensus has been reached, several tests are run to refine the formula, and once all the prerequisites have been met, the product receives an approval check from the Ministry of Health.
