Maiyan, named after founder and owner Maiyan Ben Yona, creates ceramics that stand out from other products. Bringing inspiration from her travels in Morocco, the Maiyan ceramics are a part of a greater theme of colorful products with detailed patterns.
Maiyan discovered Moroccan ceramics when working at a guesthouse that used Moroccan utensils. Drawn to the art, Maiyan decided to travel to Morocco. Maiyan roamed the markets, looked at the ceramics, and studied how the locals made their crafts. This experience became the foundation for the brand Maiyan.
Vases were traditionally first used as decoration, but in ancient Egypt vases were used for storing flowers and other plants for the first time. Maiyan’s bottle shaped vase uses abstract ink lining over a subtle, warm yellow base, reminiscent of sunflowers. The yellow and black colors pair well with all kinds of flowers, especially the green Carnation and the yellow and black sunflower.

Salt and Pepper are the two primary seasonings present at dining tables all around the world. Shakers are used to dispense and tell the two apart clearly. Maiyan’s salt and pepper shakers come in a different shape than what is commonly seen.
